Brigadoon is bringing together a peerless group of entrepreneurs and thought leaders for our second annual event in Detroit, Michigan.

We will gather for a special dinner and discussion at the Shinola Hotel's San Morello restaurant on Thursday, October 3 and enjoy morning tours of the College for Creative Studies (CCS) and the Shinola watch production facility on Friday, October 4.

You have two options for this event - dinner only or dinner and tour.

For Thursday's salon dinner, Paul Snyder, the Paul & Helen Farago Chair of Transportation Design @ College for Creative Studies, will lead the discussion on transportation design, including aeronautic, marine, ground, and emerging mobility systems. In addition, Paul will discuss the need for brands to have a deeper understanding of the end user and making better use of ethnographic research.

For Friday's tour, we will visit the CCS Transportation Design department and tour the Shinola watch production facility.

About the College for Creative Studies (CCS): CCS alumni swell the ranks of every significant car design studio and nearly all the Tier 1 auto suppliers. Their graduates account for 60% of the design team at Fiat Chrysler, led by Global Head of Design and alumnus Ralph Gilles. GM Design employs more than 175 of their alumni, and their graduates are key designers at power sports company studios.

Working in this space for 55 years, the CCS Transportation Design department is well positioned to be the global leader in autonomous vehicles and mobility-forward design, and they educate the designers who are leading this charge and whose influence in the transportation industry is unmatched anywhere.

About Shinola: Shinola is a Detroit-based luxury design brand with an unwavering commitment to crafting products that are built to last—from timepieces to leather goods, jewelry to audio. Founded in 2011, they operate an in-house watch and leather factory on the fifth floor of the historic Argonaut Building, where their team of artisans hand assemble luxury timepieces and craft premium leather straps. Through skilled training, they create opportunities for their team members and support the local workforce by partnering with legacy companies across the country to manufacture specialty items.
